Judith Lorraine Carlson

 Judith L. Carlson, “Grandma” to her grand and great grand children, passed away at the age of 88 on April 4, 2026. Born in 1937 in Brooklyn, NY, to William and Edith Miller, she is survived by her children Joseph Jr (Linda), Patricia (Doug), Christopher (Carol), and John (Connie); her 9 grandchildren; and her 12 great grandchildren. As the middle of three children, she also leaves behind her sister, Donna (Bill). 

Judy was married to the love of her life, Joe, for 65 years prior to his death in 2021. During this time, they lived in New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, and for many years wintered in the Florida Keys. Judy had worked as a substitute teacher, enjoyed sewing and trying new hobbies. She traveled extensively around the world, sharing a love of cruise ships with Joe, and continued to cruise with her daughter following Joe’s passing. Prior to moving to Hudson, she and Joe lived along the St. Croix River in homes that became the go-to place for family gatherings.

Family will be holding a private gathering at a later date.
