Karen Sue Franson

Karen Franson, age 45, of Ellsworth, WI died August 22, 2016 at her residence surrounded by family after a brief illness. She was born on November 22, 1970 in Silvis, IL to Russell and Sue Blank, Sr. On August 30, 1997 she was united in marriage to Michael Franson. She worked in accounting as a bookkeeper for many years. Spending time with her husband and family was an important part of Karen’s life. Among her interests was her huge collection of cow things.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Sue Blank, Sr.

Karen is survived by her loving husband, Michael; her children, Marc Franson (significant other, Monique Hagel), Chelsey Thompson (significant other, Vincent White); her brother, Russell (Suzanne) Blank, Jr.

A memorial service for Karen will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 8948 N. 1900th Ave., rural Geneseo, IL with a visitation from 8:30 to 10:30 am prior to the service.

A visitation will be held in Ellsworth, WI on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:30 am at English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, WI.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Mayo Clinic.
