Keith Allen Fern, age 64, of Almena, Wisconsin, passed away January 24, 2021 Barron Care and Rehab. Keith was born on March 23, 1956 in Baldwin; the son of Donald and May Fern. He was raised in Hammond where he attended St. Croix Central. On February 7, 1981, he was married to the former Denise Warren at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hammond. This union would be blessed with three children; Jaimie, Becky, and Tony. Earlier in life, he worked at the feed mill in Baldwin. Sadly, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which changed his life. Although he wasn’t able to work as he once did, he enjoyed life and didn’t complain. He enjoyed fishing for anything that would bite in the summer. It was hard to tell if it was the fishing or simply enjoying the scenery around him that he liked more. They had great memories of camping whether at the state parks or with their motorhome. He enjoyed following the great steam engines of yesteryear and playing cards or board games with family and friends. He had a close relation with his sister Karen and as a result, they would travel with Denise to places such as Canada, Tennessee, and Florida.
He is survived by his wife Denise; children Jaimie (Fiance Billy) Fern of Clear Lake, Becky (Michael Kerns) Fern of Almena, Tony (fiancee Meagan) Fern of Almena; eleven grandchildren Ryan, Katelyn, Kylie, McKenzie, Blake, Tristan, Aleigha, Alaina, Willow, Brody, Liam; sisters Karen St. Clair, Shirley Ostrum, brother Steven Fern. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law John St. Clair, Robert Ostrum.
