Keith L. Johnson

Keith L. Johnson, 78, of Ellsworth WI, passed away, unexpectedly, at home on January 15, 2023.

He was born August 20, 1944 to David and Isabelle (Larson) Johnson in Red Wing, Minnesota and grew up in Ellsworth and graduated in 1962 from Ellsworth High school.

In 1969, Keith married Joanne (Hines) Gulbranson, together had 3 sons and were married for 18 years.

Keith began his working career at Armour Meat Packaging and began at 3M in the mid 1970’s and retired in the early 2000’s.

In September of 2003 he married Jane M. Hauschildt.

He enjoyed watching Wisconsin sports, socializing with friends and muscle cars.

Keith is survived by his children, Brad (Anita) Johnson, Chad (Burdette Shilts) Johnson and Justin Johnson; grandchildren, Mackinley Dettling – Johnson, Alexis Johnson and Colton Johnson; sister, Mary Ann (Paul) Janovec; sister-in-law, Jackie Johnson; former wife, Joanne; favorite dog, Gizmo and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Jane; and brothers, Gary Johnson and Ronald Johnson.

A Celebration of Life open house will be 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Friday, January 20 at O’Connell Funeral Home in Ellsworth, 130 N. Grant St. Interment will be in the spring at St. Paul’s UCC Cemetery.
