Kevin Tollefson

Kevin Tollefson, age 46 of Baldwin; died suddenly of an apparent heart issue Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at his residence. Kevin was born on May 20, 1972 in Baldwin; the son of Andrew and Ruth (Huff) Tollefson. He was raised in Baldwin where he graduated from high school in the class of 1991. On September 12, 1997, he was united in marriage to Crystal Ann Beaulieu in LasVegas. This union would be further blessed with two children, Jacob and Jenna, who were his pride and joy. Kevin was taught the value of hard work by both of his parents. He loved his job at Loparex where he worked as a forklift operator for twenty-three years.

Kevin’s colors were green and gold! He loved John Deere and his beloved Green Bay Packers!  Kevin’s family and friends always appreciated Kevin’s happy go lucky attitude towards everything. If you needed a dose of positivity, you only needed to look at Kevin’s smile. Thus, the nickname ‘Smiley’ was born! It gave him the greatest pleasure in helping others in need. He would drop everything if someone asked for help. He was ever so proud to buy the family farm from his parents and continue farming. In keeping with family tradition, not a blade of grass was out of place. He thoroughly enjoyed time spent putzing around outside with the tractor or truck with Jenna’s boyfriend Nate or checking out local auctions. Earlier in life, he enjoyed snowmobiling, collecting and visiting toy tractor shows. His greatest love was his family as their needs came first and foremost as he always put them before his own.

Kevin will forever be remembered by his wife Crystal; children Jacob, Jenna (Nate Hein); siblings Kathy Tollefson of Eau Claire, Keith (Shelly) Tollefson of Woodville, Kelly (Scott) DeGross of Hammond; parents-in-law Mike and Nancy Beaulieu of Hayward; brothers/sister-in-law Jennifer (Ben) Vobornik of Hayward, Daniel (Teri Fischer) Beaulieu of Hayward; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Ruth Tollefson; brother Kenneth Tollefson; and nephew Wylan Vobornik.

Funeral service for Kevin Tollefson will be 11AM Saturday February 9th at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville with Pastor Keith Anderson. John Terkelsen will sing special music. Interment will be in the Sunset Cemetery with casketbearers being Nate Hein, Daniel Beaulieu, Dustin Doornink, Luke DeGross, Jon Tollefson, and Derek DeGross.  Visitation will be on Friday February 8th from 3pm to 7pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin as well as one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday morning.
