Larry Thomas Gilles, age 77, of Hudson, WI, peacefully passed away on September 15, 2026. He was born on March 26, 1949 in Plum City, WI to parents Robert and Evelyn (Fredrickson) Gilles. After growing up in Plum City and moving to the Twin Cities he was united in marriage to Linell (Bengtson) Gilles on September 23, 1972. They moved to Hudson and were blessed with two daughters.
Larry enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, golfing, old cars and spending time outside tinkering with whatever caught his interest. He spent his career in sales. He was incredibly proud of his daughters and later his grandchildren enjoying their activities and milestones. He found a special community at his assisted living facility, where his humor and charm easily won over the staff who cared for him.
He will remain in the hearts of his daughters Tanya (Luke) Trieb of Hudson, WI and Nicole (Jeremy) Spaude of College Grove, TN; grandchildren Carter, Caleb, Kellan, Breckin, Teigen; siblings Carol Eder, Donald (Carleen) Gilles, Judy Eggenberger, Nancy Anderson and Pam (Roland) Eccles and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Linell and his parents.
A celebration of life gathering will be on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St. Hudson from 1:00pm - 3:00pm with a brief service at 3:00pm and interment to follow.
