Larry Kaster, 72 - A beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother and Friend,

Passed away January 2, 2026, at Abbott NW Hospital, Minneapolis, MN

Born March 3, 1953, in Iowa City, Iowa to parents Mervin Kaster and Dora Putnam (Kaster/Turner).

He grew up in Austin, MN, later moving to St. Paul, MN where he graduated from High School in 1971. On June 26, 1971 he and Sandra Miller were married at the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Paul. They lived in Iowa, Montana and Oregon, Larry was adventurous. He became a long-time resident of Baldwin, Wi, in his final years.

Known as a true social butterfly, Larry had a gift for connecting with people. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and turn into a lifelong friendship. His warmth, humor, love of animals and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Larry had a deep passion for antiques, cars, fishing and rock collecting which grew into cherished collections over the years. Each piece held a story full of character, history and beauty that he loved to tell you about.

Above all, Larry will be remembered for his big heart, his love for his family and the meaningful relationships he built throughout his life. Larry’s life was well lived, and he will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

While our hearts mourn his love, we are grateful for the years, memories and love we were blessed to have shared with Larry.

Leaving behind his loving wife of 55 years (high school sweethearts) Sandra (Miller)Kaster, his two children, son Eric Kaster (Christy) & daughter Angelia Wood (Josh), 6 beautiful grandchildren Ivory, Julian, Kaileen, Lochlainn, Savannah, Jaylynn and precious great grandson Aiden; brothers and sisters, Becky Fitzgerald (Rick), Jerry Turner Jr., Gary Turner (Tracy), Rose Donner (Darren); in laws Linda Miller-Nelson (Jeff Nelson), Rita Kasinskas (Miller), & Valerie Miller; and also his best friend Roger Fetterly; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Preceded in death by his sisters Linda Prahl, Karen Anderson, Wendi Bresnahan, & Mona Turner; parents Mervin Kaster (Baldy), Dora Putnam (Kaster - Turner); stepfather Gerald Turner (Rocky).
