Larry Olson

Larry G. Olson, age 77 of Prescott, WI, died Friday, July 12, 2019, at Prescott
Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, Prescott, WI.

Larry was born to Violet and Raymond G. Olson, Sr., in Plum City, WI, on
September 1, 1941. He graduated from Prescott High School in 1959 and served
his country during the Vietnam War, 1963 – 1965.

In the past, he worked at 3M Chemolite as a production operator. Recreationally,
he enjoyed fishing and deer hunting.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Tina (Dave) Hillman, Prescott; grandchildren:
Hannah, Hayley and Luke; siblings, Raymond “Sonny” (Sally) Olson, Prescott;
Dennis (Diane) Olson, Prescott; Sharon (Bill) Thom, Mendota Heights, MN; Kathy
(Jim) Sumter, Prescott; nieces and nephews, Wendy (John) Querna, Dan Olson,
Denise (Doug) Heiman, Dave (Kelly) Olson, Bill (Kelly) Thom, Heather Sumter,
and Jenny (Chris) Staniec; 10 great nieces and nephews and other relatives and
friends. Also, his former wife, Cheryl. He was preceded in death by his parents
and sister, Janice.

A gathering of family and friends will be held for Larry at the Old Ptacek’s Event
Center, 1449 Orrin Road, Prescott, on Sunday, July 21, 2019, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Inurnment with military honors will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial
Cemetery, Spooner, WI, on Monday, July 22, at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family or a charity of your
choice.
