Laura L. Huber, née Dulinsky, age 92, passed away on May 3, 2026, in Harker Heights, Texas.
Laura was born on June 22, 1933, in Shelby, Michigan, to Robert Dulinsky and Hallie Webber. She grew up in Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School in 1951. After graduation, Laura worked at Kroger before moving to Washington, D.C., where she joined the workforce and began a new chapter in her life.
While living in Washington, D.C., Laura met her future husband, DeWayne Kenneth Huber. The two were married on November 18, 1954, and shared many years together before his passing on June 25, 1985. Together, they raised two sons, Gary Lee Huber and Stephen Wayne Huber.
As an Air Force wife, Laura made homes in many places throughout her life, including Malta, Ohio, Alabama, Newfoundland, California, West Germany, Massachusetts, Kansas, and Belton, Missouri. Through each move, she carried with her strength, resilience, and a steady devotion to her family.
Laura later worked for the IRS, where she remained until her retirement. After retiring, she continued to give of her time through various volunteer efforts around the Kansas City area. She enjoyed traveling both by land and sea and treasured the many experiences and memories made along the way.
Most of all, Laura loved Michigan, especially Stony Lake, where she spent many of her summers. In her later years, she moved to Killeen, Texas, to be closer to family.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Dulinsky and Hallie Webber; her husband, DeWayne Kenneth Huber; and her son, Gary Lee Huber.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Wayne Huber and his wife Irene Huber; brother Jack Dulinsky; sister Margie Hegbloom; daughter-in-law Margie Huber; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Laura Huber were Saturday, July 25th at St. Paul's Cemetery in Ellsworth.
