Lawrence Joseph Degross

Lawrence J. “Larry” DeGross, 75 of Ellsworth, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at his home.
Larry was born on March 11, 1941 in Pierce County, the son of Hank and Geraldine (Wells) DeGross. He was a graduate of Ellsworth High School. Larry married Joan Klein on July 28, 1962 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, El Paso, WI.
Larry worked at the Ford Assembly Plant for 10 years. He managed the Ellsworth County Club for a year, worked construction for 20 years, and then owned the Copper Kettle Restaurants with his family for many years.
Larry was an avid Packer fan and golfer. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his grandkids. They spent hours together playing football, golf, cards, fishing, and hanging out. Larry enjoyed every moment spent with his family including summer lake vacations to Minong.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth, WI.
Larry is survived by his three children, Tony DeGross (Cory), St. Paul, MN; Kelly (Alicia) DeGross, Ellsworth, WI, and Scott (Kelly) DeGross, Hammond, WI.
Eight grandchildren: Luke, Tanner, Derek, Brady, Briana, Kyle, Taylor, and Brandon DeGross.
Sister: Nellie Lous Terrell.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan in 2013, parents Hank and Geraldine, siblings Margaret Grimes, Jerry DeGross, Leo DeGross, JoAnn Hermanson and Dave DeGross.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 18th at 11:30 at St. Francis Catholic
Church, Ellsworth, WI. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-5 on Sunday, April 17th at the Hill Funeral Home in Ellsworth, WI.
