Leilani Mahealani (AH Sam) Kilian, age 47, of Roberts, WI, left us suddenly, and far too soon, on November 8, 2024, while returning from a vacation trip to the Black Hills.
Leilani was born on April 20, 1977, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Mahealani and Laureen AH Sam. She was the youngest to four older brothers who live in Hawaii. She attended Haden Heights elementary, and Harding high schools, where she established lifelong friendships. After receiving her high school diploma, Leilani attended the Minnesota School of Cosmetology, and graduated as a nail technician.
Along the way, Leilani met Brian Kilian, and they were married on November 4, 2005. Together for 27 years, they enjoyed movies, dining out, traveling, and being parents to several pets. Leilani enjoyed many different things. Being a nail technician, Leilani was involved in all things beauty. She was very knowledgeable about makeup, skin care, hair care, and nail care. Whenever a new trend or product was introduced, Leilani was there to give it a try. Leilani loved her American Girl and Cabbage Patch dolls. She was excited to recently be able to obtain legacy Cabbage Patch dolls, which she always wanted. She also enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, reading, and fostering her online presence, via Facebook and Instagram.
Leilani was artistic, as well. She created drawings and paintings in her younger years, and was looking to return to those endeavors, in the future. Leilani loved going to South Dakota and Colorado, and she and Brian were contemplating relocating to South Dakota, in the future.
Leilani is survived by her husband Brian, mother Laureen, brothers Vance Morton and Steve (Roxanne) Morton, of Maui Hawaii, uncle and aunt John and Nancy LaDoucer of Amery Wisconsin, the extended family of Jerry Jr. LaDoucer and Marja Kline, and their children, Hunter, Shaun, Jameson, and Kandice of Loveland Colorado. Her furry friends, Hoku, Dasha, Max, Huckleberry, Remy, Kiki, Toad, Notty, Freya, and Beast, are missing her, too. She is preceded in death by her father Mahealani Charles AH Sam, brother Kimo Morton, grandparents Charles and Dorothy LaDoucer, uncle Jerold LaDoucer, cousin Jaxon LaDoucer, and other extended family members, and many great friends.
