Lenore Ann Moll, age 88, of Hammond, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, at Hammond Health Services in Hammond, WI.
Lenore was born on December 21, 1936, to parents Bert and Luella (Orvold) Holman in Baldwin, Wisconsin.
Lenore married Harold Moll on December 2, 1955, and was married for 67 years, until Harold’s passing. They settled in Hammond and had three children, Jeff, Bruce, and Mary. Lenore had a passion for her family, friends, teaching, and community. She was instrumental in establishing the Hammond Library, was a charter member of the Hammond Golf Course, helped found Trinity Lutheran Church, and served on the Hammond Nursing Home Board.
Lenore found joy in so many things – sewing, reading, gardening, entertaining, volunteering at Trinity and traveling and riding with Harold on his Harley. She attended UW River Falls to fulfill her lifelong dream of being a teacher. She taught for over 20 years at E.P. Rock in Hudson as a first-grade teacher.
While Lenore had hobbies and a career as a teacher, what she cherished most was spending time with family and friends. She and Harold especially invested their love and time in their eight grandchildren. She taught them to sew, gave them a passion for downhill skiing, made many special outfits for them, scrapbooked their growing up years, took them many summers for a week long retreat at the lake, and took the time to make each grandchild feel loved and special.
Lenore is survived by her children: Jeff (Diane) Moll, Bruce (Jo) Moll, Mary (Tom) Aaby; grandchildren: Casey Moll Brown, Carl Moll, Lauren (Jake) Grube, Livvie Moll, and Claire Moll, John (Katie) Aaby, Kyle Aaby, and Andrea (William) Graf; great-grandchildren: Kylee Brown, William Aaby and Emma Aaby; sister-in-law, Carol (Denny) Lindala; brother-in-law Jim Moll; and sister-in-law Sally Dunn.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Moll; her parents Bert and Luella Holman; her parents-in-law Henry and Alice Moll; siblings Arlo (Merlee) Holman and Burnell Holman; Betty (Maloy) Monicken; sister-in-law Hollyce (Clayton) Peck and sister-in law Merle Allers.
A Visitation and Memorial Service for Lenore will be held at Trinity Lutheran church in Hammond, 1250 Broadway Street on Friday, September 26, 2025. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. with a service starting at 12 p.m.
