Leroy Edson Burgess

LeRoy Edson Burgess, 96, of Ellsworth, died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his home.

Le Roy was born on December 29, 1919 in the town of Rock Elm, the son of Claude and Ina (Betterly) Burgess. He married Helen Eggenberger of Plum City, on April 19, 1947. Helen died in 1968.
He later married Audrey Rice.

LeRoy worked for Earls Repair Shop for many years in Oak Center, MN, and retired in 1982 from the Pierce County Highway Department after many years of service. Following retirement he owned and operated Roy’s Fixit Shop.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Audrey, Ellsworth.
Three children: Donna Tutor, Diane (Steven) Bartlett, and Kevin (Connie) Burgess, all of Ellsworth. 12 Grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
Son in-law Neal Harris, Ellsworth, WI.

He was preceded in death by his wife Helen, daughter Kathy Harris, parents, sister Willa Anderson and an infant brother.

Funeral services for LeRoy will be at 11:00am, Thursday, September 29, 2016 at English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, WI. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Rock Elm, WI.
Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Wednesday at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
