Linda Kay Brown, age 73, of Roberts, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at Western Wisconsin Health in Baldwin, surrounded by the love of her family.
Linda was born on January 19, 1952, to Earl and Inez (Deiss) Loida in New Richmond, WI. She was raised in a loving home and graduated from River Falls High School with the Class of 1970. On May 27, 1972, she married the love of her life, Harold “Rap” Marvin Brown, at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in River Falls. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with four cherished children: Trisha, Kelly, Lance, and Jeremy.
Linda was a woman of many passions and deep compassion. She had a playful spirit and a heart full of kindness. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing pool, cheering for her beloved Green Bay Packers, and admiring the beauty of nature, especially bald eagles, which she adored and collected memorabilia of.
A lifelong music lover, Linda was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She enjoyed the timeless charm of country music and oldies, often dancing and singing along. Her signature saying, “E-I-E-I-O,” will remain a sweet and playful memory for those who knew her best.
Linda had an extraordinary gift for thoughtfulness. She was always tuned in to the needs and preferences of those around her, going out of her way to bring a smile or offer a gesture of love—often in the form of a favorite treat or a meaningful trinket she found at one of her beloved garage sales.
She found serenity in the presence of water, whether it was watching the stillness of a lake or riding peacefully on a boat, soaking in the beauty of nature. Above all, Linda was immensely proud of her children, whom she loved with fierce devotion. Her love and loyalty were unwavering.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 53 years, Rap; her children: Trisha (Dan) Meyer, Kelly Brown, and Jeremy (Tegan) Brown; along with numerous nieces and nephews, extended relatives, and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Earl and Inez; her treasured son, Lance; and her brother, Bob Loida.
