Linda Mae Nelson

Linda Mae Nelson age 79 of Beldenville passed away on June 28, 2022 at River Falls Area Hospital. Linda was born on December 22, 1942 to Mark and Nell (O’Conner) Stockwell in Esdaile, Wisconsin. She attended Red Wing High School and graduated with the class of 1960. She went on to marry her high school sweetheart Melford Nelson on June 24, 1961 in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. This union blessed them with two children, Debbie and Melinda.

Family meant everything to Linda, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her entire life. She lived for family gatherings and holidays. She enjoyed having company, walks by the river, gardening, flowers, pontoon rides. Most of all was her faith. She was a very devout Christian and thoroughly enjoyed southern gospel music.

Linda is survived by her children: Debbie (Tim) Briggs, and Melinda Nelson; grandchildren: Brandon (Kay) Briggs, Brett (Mayan) Briggs, and Brittany (Nathan) Cameron; great- grandchildren: Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Elijah, Adelaide, Mariam, Elon, Liam and Levi; sibling: Doug (Gloria) Stockwell and Nephew Van Stockwell. She was preceded in death by her Husband Melford, parents, Mark and Nell Stockwell, Sister Sharon (John) Perry and nephew: Bruce Stockwell.

A Funeral service will be at 3:00pm on Saturday July 2, 2022 at Journey Church: 605 Valley View Dr, River Falls, WI 54022. A visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, July 1, 2022 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home: 130 N Grant St, Ellsworth, WI 54011. Burial will be at Beldenville Cemetery.
