Lorraine Alice Young

Lorraine A. Young, age 87, of Prescott passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN.Lorraine was born December 5, 1926 in Spring Lake Township, Pierce County, WI to Harvey and Minnie (Ziehem) Yauch. She was united in marriage to Joseph Young on May 9, 1949 in Red Wing, MN.Lorraine worked at Smead Manufacturing Company in Hastings, MN. Her main interest was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she also enjoyed gardening, sewing and playing cards.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; daughter, Penny Hamilton; son, Kenny Young; two granddaughters, Angie Feuerhelm and Nissi Young; son-in-law, Bill Rowan; three brothers, Lyle, Harvey Jr. and Charles “Bud” Yauch; three sisters, Carol Alton, Eileen Anderson and Deloris Schulte.Lorraine is survived by her children, Linda Rowan of Red Wing, MN, Joseph (Terry) Young of Prescott, WI, Susie (Stan) Flynn of Ellsworth, WI, Leonard Young of Red Wing, MN; 22 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Henry Hamilton of Hastings; brother, Donald (Marian) Yauch of Elmwood, WI; also many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
