Lorraine Faye Roude

Lorraine Faye Roude, age 92, of Hudson, formerly of Ellsworth, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Red Cedar Canyon, in Hudson. Lorraine has resided there the last few years where she felt at home and very well cared for.Lorraine was born on September 21, 1921 in the town of Salem, Pierce County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Leland and Ellen (Crain) Stockwell. She grew up in rural Maiden Rock near Ono, and married Harold Roude on June 20, 1962. For many years Lorraine worked at Langwear in River Falls, WI as an accomplished seamstress. Lorraine was an excellent cook and loved to entertain family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, playing the accordion, and listening to music. Lorraine loved her church, and was at one time an active and faithful member of Zion Covenant Church. Lorraine is survived by sisters-in-law: Nona Stockwell and Ethel Stockwell.Nieces and nephews: Marilyn Brager, John Strand, Janice Ranta, Sharon Murzyn, Larry Stockwell, Pat Dietzler, JoAnn Farrell, Sam Stockwell, Dan Stockwell, Scott Stockwell, Sandra Broskovetz, and Diane Stockwell. She is further survived by great nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 2009, parents, and sister Grace and brothers, Tom, Elwin, Russell and Leon.Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ellsworth, WI is serving the family.
