Lovejoy Marjorie

Marjorie Jean Lovejoy, age 76 of Hudson, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2018 at her home.

Marjorie was born on February 23, 1942 in Chicago, IL to her parents, Jerry and Eleanor (Moullet) Hatcher. Her family moved to Barronett, WI and she graduated from Cumberland High School. Marjorie was united in marriage to Michael Lovejoy on December 15, 1962 in Chicago, IL, and the couple were blessed with two daughters. Before retirement, Marjorie worked behind the Deli Counter at the Cub grocery store in Cottage Grove, MN. She enjoyed her time at Cub and made many special friends while working there.

Marjorie loved spending time with her family and cherished every moment she spent with her grandson. She enjoyed attending craft fairs, watching movies and keeping up with local and national news, and listening to her favorite Sunday night radio program “As It Happens” on CBC/Radio-Canada. Marjorie was very fond of dogs and cats, and adored her collection of cows and roosters.

Marjorie will remain in the hearts of her daughters, Jennifer (William) Fawkes and Jill Lovejoy; grandson, Derrick Lovejoy; siblings, Sandra Anderson and Ken (Carol) Hatcher; nephews, Aaron, Jeff and David Anderson; cherished cats, Bones and Cuddles; and beloved dog, Mags. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lovejoy; her parents; and brother, Steven Hatcher.
