It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Madelyn Mary Lieser, who departed this world on August 26, 2025, surrounded by family, in Wilson, Wisconsin. Born on September 5, 1926, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Madelyn dedicated her life to her family and the warmth of her home. As a devoted homemaker, she loved her 5 children fiercely and nurtured them with the love and care that only a mother can provide.
Madelyn had a special talent for sewing, knitting, and needlepoint, creating beautiful quilts that forever hold the warmth of her heart. Her passion for reading allowed her to explore countless worlds through literature, while her love for travel took her on unforgettable journeys across Europe and throughout the United States on memorable bus tours.
Madelyn found joy in the company of friends through her regular bridge group, where laughter and friendly competition brought brightness to her days. The art of playing cards was not just a game for her; it was a cherished opportunity to connect with others, share stories, and build lasting friendships.
Madelyn will forever remain in the hearts of her loving Family; Daughter Hope (Scott) Melander, their children Hailey & Gunther; Son Michael (Cindi) Lieser, their children, Sienna, Derrick & Dallas. Daughter Georgeann (Gary) Grebowski, their children Ginny & Gordy; Son Edward (Susan) Lieser, their children, Heidi, Amy & Eric; Daughter Beverly Wells (deceased), her children, Christopher & Rachel; Sisters Mary, Louise, and Genevieve; Plus, 9 Great-grandchildren, and many neices, nephews, and extended family members. Madeline was preceded in death by her Daughter Beverly Wells; Husband James Lieser; and Parents George & Sarah Adam.
Family and friends will gather to honor her memory, on August 29, 2025 at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1265 Ridgeway St, Hammond, Wisconsin. Mass at 4:00 PM, with a visitation one hour prior. Where we will reflect on the countless lives she touched with her kindness, creativity, and love.
In leiu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Adoray Hospice, who lovingly supported Madelyn and her family through the last days of her life.
