Margaret Owes

Margaret Esther Owes, age 89, of Hudson WI, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at Comforts of Home in Hudson. Marge was born on September 1, 1930 in Dundas, MN to parents Herman Henry and Ruth Alfreda Heil. To them she was known as “Toots”.

She graduated from Humboldt High School in St. Paul, MN and married Robert Vittum and together they were blessed with 7 children, their marriage would later dissolve and she would find new love in Irvin “Danny” Owes. Danny and Margaret were married in December of 1965. Marge worked for the United States Postal Service for over 20 years as her kids moved out. She loved all animals, especially dogs. She also enjoyed going to Flea Markets with her husband Danny but her favorite thing was spending time with her family and being mom and grandma.

Marge will remain in the hearts of her children Suzanne Sirotiak, Scott (Jocelyn) Vittum, Dennis (Wendy) Vittum, Richard Vittum, Nancy (Luke) Bower, Barbara (Mark) Zilmer and Bruce Vittum (Janet), as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Danny; Brother Carl “Jim”.

A memorial service for Marge will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at O’Connell’s. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family
