Marian Elizabeth Gaylord

Marian Gaylord, age 88, passed away at Comforts of Home in River Falls on January 20, 2016, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. During her 65-plus years in River Falls she was a nurse, wife, mother and grandmother, friend to many, gardener, wildlife protector, quilter, and family historian. She leaves a legacy of love of the land, acts of kindness and nurturing for all around her, and a passion for creating beauty and home.

She is survived by daughter, Vicki; grandchildren, Angel, Marquita, and Marten and great-grandchildren, Andrew and Jasmine. She was preceded in death by husband, Les and daughter, Lauri Gaylord-Medrano.

The family thanks the staff of Comforts of Home in River Falls for their compassionate care of Marian throughout her lengthy illness.

A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls, WI at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 30, 2016. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls.
