Marijean A. Colbeth

Marijean A. Colbeth, age 78, of Hudson, WI, passed away on January 21, 2021 at Regions Hospital.

Marijean was born on December 2, 1942 in Roberts, WI to Roy and Margaret (Neiderhauser) Rode. She met her future husband, Donald Colbeth, through the family farm and the two were married on February 13, 1960. Shortly after her graduation from Roberts High School, she was blessed with her daughter Jodi and later her son Jeff. As a family, they took many trips together throughout the entire United States. She was a homemaker for many years however, when her children went off to school, she decided to go back into the workforce. She worked as a clerk at Robertson Drapery in Hudson, and then later as a bookkeeper at Mickelson’s Drug Store in Hudson with her daughter. She left the company after 10 years of faithful service when she began dealing with health issues.

Marijean loved listening to AM radio, especially the sports broadcasts. She was a passionate and vocal Green Bay Packer fan, and you didn’t dare call her during game time! She also enjoyed watching Nascar, especially Jeff Gordon, and had a fondness for butterflies.

She is survived by her children, Jodi Colbeth (Greg Urtel) and Jeff Colbeth (Laurie Sperstad); grandchildren: Lisamarie (Aaron) Lorenzen, Tammy (Pete) Davis, and Felicha Colbeth; great-grandson, Conner Davis; and brother, Doug (Peggy) Rode. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents; and sister, Nona Mae.

A Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Interment at Warren Cemetery in Roberts, WI.
