Marion Revena (Boles) Moe, 91, of River Falls, died peacefully Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at American Lutheran Home in River Falls.

Marion was the first born and only daughter to James H. and Marie (Mercord) Boles, arriving on November 9, 1924 in Prescott, WI. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Oak Grove and was a member of Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls. She attended the River Road Country School in Oak Grove Township and graduated from Prescott High School with the class of 1942.

She married Wilmer S. Moe, December 5, 1942, and they shared fifty-five years of marriage. They had four children: Ronnie, Judy, Beverly, and Susan.

Marion and Wilmer started out on a dairy farm near Baldwin and spent most of their 35 years of farming near Hudson, WI. Marion held many titles as farm wife. She was the farm hand, doing everything from milking cows, feeding calves, delivering piglets, raising chickens (selling eggs and dressed chickens), helping with field work, and vegetable and flower gardening. She loved to be outdoors. They loved spending time at their cabin at Deer Lake; she was a fisherwoman. They also spent time traveling in their motorhome and staying in Bullhead City, AZ at their trailer house.

Marion had beautiful, dainty handwriting and wrote jingles, and poetry. She was a wonderful cook, baker, and canner, winning many blue ribbons at the St. Croix County Fair. She was a member of the Homemakers at one time and was still a member of The Home Culture Club of River Falls.

Marion will remain in the hearts of her children Judy (Larry) Johnson of Hudson, Beverly (Richard) Worman of Cassville, MO, Susan Kelly of Monett, MO; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Moe of Baldwin, nine grandchildren and six great- grandchildren; brother, Stan Boles of Prescott; brothers-in-law, Leland Randall, William (Eunice) Moe, Don (Jean) Chillstrom, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer; son, Ronald; granddaughter, Eve Moe; grandson, Kyle Kelly, her parents, sisters-in-law; Beverly Boles, Dorothy Chillstrom, Gladys Randall, Evelyn Peterson, and brother-n-law, Richard Peterson.

Funeral services for Marion will be 2:00 pm Monday, Sept. 12th at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, River Falls. Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 pm Sunday, Sept. 11th, at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls and one hour prior to the service, at the church, on Monday. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, River Falls.
