Marjorie L Dusek, age 90, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Marjorie was born on November 1, 1935, in Hudson, Wisconsin, to Peter and Erna Fable. At a young age, she was orphaned and raised by her aunts. She attended grade school at St. Patrick’s and later graduated from Hudson High School. After High School, Marjorie (Marge) worked in the Twin Cities for State Farm Insurance.
Marge and her father were invited to a wedding dance, where she met the love of her life, Don. The two were united in marriage on August 17, 1957, beginning a beautiful life together that spanned 68 years.
Marge and Don began their married life in River Falls, where they welcomed their first daughter, LeAnn. They later moved to their first farm just north of River Falls, where they welcomed two more children, Jeff and Chris. As their family grew, they moved to the farm west of River Falls in 1966, where Marge devoted herself to her faith, her children and life as a farm wife.
Throughout the years, Marge held various jobs before settling into her role helping Don at River Falls Mutual Insurance Company. She also cherished the friendships she built throughout her life. Marge was part of a close group of seven friends who met each month to celebrate birthdays and holidays, forming a bond that lasted for more than 40 years.
In her free time, Marge enjoyed crocheting and created stained glass pieces, which she gave as gifts and brought to various boutiques. She was always creative and found joy in making beautiful things.
Marge’s true passion was making memories with Don. Together, they loved traveling to ghost towns of the American West, visiting national parks, exploring antique stores, and collecting treasured finds along the way. Each trip brought with it new adventures and new memories shared side-by-side.
Above all else, Marjorie was devoted to her family. She gave deeply of herself to her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Her love, zest for life and the fun that she brought to everything will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marjorie was proceeded in death by her parents Peter and Erna Fable, her brother Patrick Fable, daughter LeAnn Rossbach and son in law Pat Rossbach.
