Marjorie Miles, age 89 of Hudson, formerly Baldwin died October 11, 2017 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. Marjorie was born on May 6, 1928 in Butternut Wisconsin, the daughter of Herbert and Eva Schultz. She was raised in Butternut where she attended school. 1969, she was married to Robert L Miles. For many years, she worked as a phone operator for Bell Telephone in Hudson. Bob and Marjorie love to travel. She cherished her family and care taking for them. Marjorie was a good woman who had a great work ethic and was determined never to give up on frustrations in life. She was proud to support Bob being a veteran and member of the VFW and her volunteer work as a member of the ladies aid at church. She and Bob owned end operated Miles bar in Hudson which in the days was quite the hotspot. Marjorie’s friendships were at the foundation of her life. Once a friend, always a friend. This was very evident in the endless list of friends that received Christmas cards every year. She enjoyed crafts and took classes as an artist in working with Stained glass. She shared her talents with churches and friends. She also enjoyed making quilts and bouquets of flowers for special events.
Marjorie is survived by her children Donna Bergstrom (Hank (Thell) of Lakeland, Minnesota, Dianne (Steve) Thomas of Spring Valley, Mary (Bill) Souter of Hudson, grandchildren Amber (Jay) Earney, Eric (Heather) Lorenz, Trent (Theresa) Lorenz, Ashley Thomas, Cody Thomas, Great grandchildren Nicholas Earney, Jaxson Hanson, and Elliot Lorenz. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob Miles in 2010.
Funeral service for Marjorie will be 11AM Wednesday October 18th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of BALDWIN. Burial will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at O’Connell’s Wednesday morning. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
