It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martin Reinhart, age 72, of Hudson, Wisconsin, who passed peacefully at home on March 31, 2026. Born on May 30, 1953, in Carroll, Iowa to John and Kathleen Reinhart. He graduated from Bellevue High School in Nebraska and furthered his education at Minnesota State University-Mankato where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He also attended the Graduate School of Banking at UW Madison and also became a Certified Financial Planner. Marty’s career spanned over 50 years in the banking industry, serving as President at Associated Bank in Marshfield and Wausau, and later as President/CEO at Partners Bank in Marshfield. He was passionate about his work and also served on the Board of Directors for the Community Bankers of Wisconsin as well as the Wisconsin Bankers Association. He was also very active in the communities he lived in and selflessly gave his time and leadership to many service organizations, non-profits, and foundations - too many to mention.
In 1975, Marty married the love of his life, Laurie Bruns, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last November. Together, they created a warm and loving home, raising their three children in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Marty was committed to his family and deeply involved in his children's lives, supporting them in all of their interests whether it be coaching a sports team, attending band concerts, high school theater productions, or serving as Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts. He later embraced becoming a grandpa to his six grandchildren with immense joy, spoiling them with ice cream and inventing new games with them every chance he could get.
Marty left an impact on all who knew him. His upbeat personality and genuine interest in others made him a beloved figure, and he hardly ever met someone that he couldn’t be friends with. He had a large circle of close friends that he enjoyed activities with including fishing, golfing, watching Packer games, playing cards, and relaxing on the pontoon listening to Jimmy Buffett. He loved telling stories, enjoyed taking photos of everything, going to baseball games, and dining out at supper clubs or finding a fun pirate-themed establishment. Marty and Laurie also enjoyed camping with the children (with Marty always ready to teach them how to fish), family road trips, trips to Cancun for many years to catch a break from the cold, or just weekend trips for relaxation.
Marty will be fondly remembered for his easy laugh, selflessness, positivity, and the love he shared with all those fortunate enough to cross his path.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Laurie Reinhart; children Christopher (Rhonda) Reinhart, Susan (Scott) LeBlanc and John (Eileen) Reinhart; grandchildren Michael and Kaitlynn Reinhart, James and Madeline LeBlanc, Bailey and Cooper Reinhart; siblings Tony (Dayna) Reinhart, Randy Reinhart, and Joan Wright, as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Kathleen, and a brother, Steven.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hudson. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. with a Mass beginning at 11 a.m. In honor of Marty's generous spirit, the family requests that you donate your time or money to a charity of your choosing.
