Mary C. Perkins

Mary C. (Wallner) Perkins, age 76 of Afton, Minnesota, died peacefully on May 8, 2018. Mary was born on February 23, 1942 to Robert and Muriel (Hetland) Wallner of Sioux Falls, SD. In 1963, Mary was united in marriage to Douglas Perkins. They were blessed with two children, Ron and Anne.

Mary enjoyed a wonderful career as a professional photographer and artist. Mary’s work helped many brides enjoy their big day even more! Mary loved family time with her children and grandchildren. One of ten, Mary also embraced time with her siblings. Mary enjoyed skiing, tennis, music, art and cherished life with Doug on the St. Croix River.

Mary is survived by her children, Ron (Meghan) Perkins and Anne Perkins; her grandchildren, Cora and Owen Sutherland; and siblings, Joan (Len) Wray, Tom (Maryelen) Wallner, Steve (Barb) Wallner, Maury Wallner, Rich (Dana) Wallner, Rob (Karol) Wallner, Dan (Sue) Wallner, and Joe (Connie) Wallner; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Doug; parents, Robert and Muriel; and her brother, Frank.

A Memorial Service for Mary will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 2:00PM at the Memorial Lutheran Church of Afton, 15730 S. Afton Blvd, Afton, MN. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI.
