Mary K. Murphy

Mary Kay Murphy, age 60, of Shakopee, MN, passed away on February 25, 2018 at her home. She was comforted by family, close friends & caregivers.

Mary was born on December 9, 1957, to James and Margaret (Lym) Murphy. She enjoyed reading, collecting various treasures and attending Barry Manilow concerts. Mary’s true passion was her love of animals.

Mary is survived by her sister, Kathy Murphy of Shakopee MN; brothers, David (Marge Olberg) Murphy of Savage MN, and John (Andy) Murphy of New Hope MN; uncle, James (Joan) Lym of White Bear Lake MN; and several cousins and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Margaret Murphy, formerly of Hudson; grandparents, aunts, cousins, and beloved animal companions, Joey and Riley.

A special thank you to Jim and Colleen Bark, and Ray (“my sweet boy”), for your friendship over the last year.

A Memorial Service for Mary will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Interment at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Hudson.

Memorial donations in Mary’s honor are appreciated and preferred to the humane society of choice.
