Mary P. Schuna

Mary Patricia Schuna (nee Raleigh) of Hudson, Wisconsin, passed away at her home on March 25, 2014 at the age of 67.

Mary Pat was born on April 8, 1946 in Stillwater, MN to her parents, John “Jack” and Alice (Jacobson) Raleigh. She graduated from Hill-Murray School in Maplewood, MN in 1964.

Mary was a 30 year employee at the Famous River’s Edge Restaurant in Somerset, Wisconsin. Over her career, Mary served hundreds of famous guests including McDonalds founder Ray Kroc, Conrad Hilton, and CBS News Correspondent, Charles Kuralt.

Mary was united in marriage to Keith O. Schuna. She deeply loved her husband of 30 years who pre-deceased her by just a few weeks on March 1, 2014.

Mary was also a loving sister to all her siblings. She was both proud and very independent. Mary often refused help from her siblings and would say keep it or give it to someone else.

Mary is survived by her brothers, John, Patrick, and Michael Raleigh; sisters, Jeanne Fabiano, Janelle (Robert) Sutherland; sisters-in-law, Karen Raleigh and Celeste Raleigh; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith O. Schuna; parents, John “Jack” and Alice Raleigh; brothers, Robert and William Raleigh; and brother-in-law Phillip Fabiano.

Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Thursday, April 3, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 141 Church Hill Rd., Somerset, WI, with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Mary and her family invite you to a hospitality lunch following the service. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
