Minnie Ricci Peterson

Carmella “Minnie” nee Schullo Ricci Peterson age 95, of North Hudson, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at Red Cedar Canyon in Hudson. Minnie was born on September 24, 1923 to Nicodemus and Anna (Ranallo) Schullo, in Hudson, Wisconsin. Minnie attended beauty school and worked as a hairdresser for some time before marrying Samuel L. Ricci on June 14, 1947. They had four sons before Sam sadly passed away in 1969. They owned and operated Sam’s Restaurant and Bowling Alley in North Hudson for many years. She married Sherman Peterson in 1972.

Minnie was proud of her Italian heritage and loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will remain in the hearts of her children: Samuel Ricci (Patty Wicklander) of Scottsdale, AZ and Michael Ricci (Teresa) of North Hudson, WI; stepchildren Scott (Barb) Peterson, Sherry (Bill) Burke, Terry Peterson; granddaughters Gina (Todd) Domino Hudson, WI and Mia (Mike) Pavicich, Las Vegas NV; numerous nieces & nephews including special niece in heart Diane McGinley, Hudson, WI. She is preceded in death by husbands Samuel Ricci and Sherman Peterson; two infant sons James and David; siblings: Tillie Borden, Henry Schullo, Carrie Hughes, Anna DaBruzzi, Mary McGinley and Tom Schullo. The family would like to thank Deann Bauer for being Minnie’s very special friend and for always being there for her.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Minnie will be at 3:00pm on Monday, March 4, 2019, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson. A visitation will be from 1:00-3:00pm before mass at the church on Monday. Memorials are preferred to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
