Myeong Gi “ Susie” Gossel, age 79 of St. Paul, passed away January 4, 2017. Myeong was born on March 1, 1937 in Dorim-dong, Seoul, Korea. She was raised by a very compassionate and close-knit family, and was very fortunate to have her three siblings; her brother, Jin Ho, older sister, Myeong Ho, and younger sister, Myeong Ja were all very important to Myeong Gi. On March 18, 1974, she was united in marriage to her best friend and love of her life, Truman Gossel. She immigrated to the United States to start a new chapter in her life alongside Truman; despite the difficulties of adjusting to a new country, Myeong did everything she could to shine a positive light on every experience.
Myeong was a very compelling and considerate person. She was an excellent cook and was exceptional at quilting as well as crocheting. Her bright and welcoming personality will always be remembered by those who had the opportunity to know her.
Myeong is preceeded in death by her husband, Truman Gossel.
She will remain in the hearts of her friends and family, and will be greatly missed by all.
A gathering of family and friends will be held will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 12 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin, WI, with a memorial service to be held at 11:00 a.m.
