Nikolas Scott “Nik” LaGrander was taken from us far too soon in an accidental tragedy on June 30, 2026, at just 9 years old. Nikolas was a radiant spirit who filled every moment with joy and laughter.
A true little spitfire, Nik thrived outdoors. He loved his loyal English Lab, Bolt, and Bolt just adored him. He spent countless days camping, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. His adventurous spirit shone bright as he zoomed around on bikes and engaged in epic Nerf wars with his brother. With a knack for always being on the go, Nikolas was a master of fun and mischief. He was a proud exhibitor in the county fair, eagerly anticipating showing his pig and rabbit this year. In past years he took part in the Cowpoke and showing goats. From his time spent with the animals to the joy he found in his family, Nikolas embodied happiness and enthusiasm. He was looking forward to the start of football this fall, already dreaming of the plays he would make on the field. Nikolas will be greatly missed by his parents, Matthew & Alicia LaGrander; his sister Brooklyn, brother Josh; grandparents Kerri (Bill) Casey, Scott LeGrander, Ardell & Shelly Strenke; great-grandmothers Sandi Traaseth, Ellie Lehman, uncles Jeremy & Clinton LaGrander, Tyler & Jeff Strenke; Aunt Trisha Casey; many cousins & friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa O.T.; great-grandma Judy LaGrander.
