Norman George Adler passed away January 8, 2026, unexpectedly at home.

He was born on February 20, 1949, to Norman and Lorraine Adler in Lake City, Minnesota. Norman grew up in Wabasha, Minnesota, where he graduated from high school. Following graduation, he began a career in factory work.

In 1968, Norman married Betty Hutter, and together they were blessed with two children, Jason and Michele, later adopting a third child, Lee.

On May 20, 2000, he married the love of his life, Linda Sue Veith on Horseback, at the Maiden Rock Rod and Gun Club. It was a day filled with happiness and marked the beginning of many cherished years together.

Norman retired from what he considered his dream job as a valet attendant at Treasure Island Casino. He loved meeting new people and driving cool cars.

An avid outdoorsman, Norman could often be found fishing, trapping, deer hunting, and had a real love for raccoon hunting. When he wasn’t indoors, he enjoyed trail riding on his favorite horses, Sonny and Dakota, or relaxing in his recliner with his best friend, Izzy.

Norman will be forever missed by his trail riding friends, his club friends, and his family. There wasn’t a person he met whom he didn’t consider a friend.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Linda Adler; his children Lee (Lori) Adler, Michele (Wayne) Spitzer, Jason (Katherine) Adler, his mother-in-law, Lois Veith; his siblings: Mick (Jane) Adler, Charlene (Albert) Schaechterle, Dianna (Steve) Briggs, and Norma (Delbert) Goeman; and his siblings-in-law: Randy (Pam) Veith, nephew and neice, Marcus Veith, and Haley (Jon) Brackett. Norman is also lovingly remembered by his 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, his AA family, many nieces and nephews, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Lorraine Adler; his father-in-law, Donald Veith; and his siblings: Geraldine (Rodger) Huffman, JoAnn (Mark) Leonard, and Gary (Michelle) Adler.

Norman’s life was one of quiet strength, humor, and appreciation for the simple things. As he continues to ride happy trails, he looks over all of us.
