Oscar Rieke Rieken

Oscar Rieke Rieken, Jr., age 93, of Prescott, WI passed away peacefully on February 7, 2020 at Prescott Nursing & Rehab Center in Prescott, WI. He was born on May 23, 1926 in Prescott, WI to Oscar and Mollie (Becker) Rieken. On September 7, 1957 Oscar was united in marriage to Dorothy Ruth O’Toole in St. Paul, MN. To this union three sons were born.
Oscar raised his family near the home he grew up in and spent his life farming his land and raising livestock while driving school bus for Prescott until he retired in 1990. For many of those years, he also had a regular egg business, where he sold and delivered eggs to many local residents & businesses including the Prescott bakery. Oscar enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, attending and serving on the church council, playing cards, dancing to Polka, and was an avid reader.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Mollie; two sisters, Louise Rieken and Veta Wichman.
Oscar will remain in the hearts of his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy; his sons, Jim Rieken, Dan (Lisa) Rieken, Tom (Dena) Rieken; his grandchildren, Calista, Collin, Dylan, Ashley, Noah; sister, Lura Stockinger; three nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Oscar will be 11:00 am Monday, February 17th, 2020 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1048 Campbell Street North, Prescott, WI. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, February 16th at the O’Connell-Benedict Funeral Home, Prescott, WI and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery, Prescott, WI.
