Patricia Hopkins

d. October 31, 2016

Patricia A. Hopkins, age 69 of Hudson died October 31, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul following complications from cancer. Patricia was born on July 4, 1947 in Whitewater, Wisconsin; the daughter of Clyde and Anna (Bryant) Adams. She attended Sparta High School and earned her GED from La Crosse Logan High School before furthering her education at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in New Richmond. The clerical training she received at WITC paved the way for her successful career as an insurance agent. She owned and operated Pat Hopkins Farmers Insurance Agency for nearly 25 years before retiring in 2007. On September 7, 1963, she was united in marriage to Larry K. Hopkins in Sparta, Wisconsin. To this union, two children were born; Pamela and Jerry.

Pat loved others and made many friends and solid relationships over the years. She enjoyed polka and waltz dancing, reading a good book, and lived life to the fullest. She had great memories of her travels with Larry to places such as Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Colorado and many other fun trips around the United States. Some of her favorite things to do other than traveling were boating on the St. Croix, shopping with the girls, and going to the movie theater with her grandchildren. The room lit up when she got to spend time with her grandchildren, as they were the apples of her eye.

Pat will forever live on in the hearts of her husband of 53 years, Larry; children, Pamela (Craig) Horwath of Oakdale and Jerry (Stephanie) Hopkins of Richland, Washington; grandchildren: Nicole (fiancé, Patrick May) Horwath, Andrew Horwath, Todd Hopkins, and Mark Hopkins; siblings: Billie Adams of Aitken, MN, Larry Adams of Sparta, WI, Glenda (Joseph) Arnold of Sparta, WI, and Donald Adams of Springbrook, WI; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
