Paul Edward Deal

Paul Edward Deal, age 77, of River Falls, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Hammond Health Services.Paul was born on March 27, 1949, in River Falls, Wisconsin, to Harry and Phila (Richards) Deal. He grew up in River Falls and attended River Falls High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On February 19, 1977, Paul was united in marriage to Eliane Kaye Struemke at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls. Together, they built a life centered on love, hard work, and family and were blessed with three sons, Greg, Shad, and Blake.

Paul was a man defined by his work ethic and his devotion to those he loved. He took great pride in providing for his family and found deep fulfillment in being able to support his household, allowing Elaine to be a stay-at-home mother. His love for her was evident in everything he did. He was endlessly proud of his wife, and to those who knew them, Paul and Elaine were truly soulmates.

Outside of work, Paul found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He loved hunting and fishing and could often be found tinkering on just about anything. Some of his favorite moments were spent around the kitchen table with a cup of coffee, enjoying conversation or quiet reflection. He also had a playful side and loved a good scare. He had a special appreciation for horror films and often delighted in surprising others.

Above all, Paul loved his family fiercely. His strength, humor, and unwavering dedication will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.Paul is survived by his sons, Greg (Robyn) Deal, Shad Deal Sr. (Nicole Berning) and Blake Deal (former spouse Abby Deal); grandchildren: Gabriel, Rheanna, Thomas, Alyssa, Felix, Shad Jr., Ava, Logan and Levi; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine, his parents, Harry and Phila Deal; in-laws: Orville and Edith Struemke.

A Funeral Service for Paul will be at 1:00pm on Monday, April 20, 2026 at O'Connell Family Funeral Home: 225 S. 3rd St. River Falls, WI 54022. A visitation will begin at 10:00am until the start of the service. Burial will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls.
