Peter Geidans

Peter Geidans, age 61, died unexpectedly on November 14, 2013 in Hudson, WI.

He was born June 12, 1952 to Evalds and Hanna Thea Geidans in Des Moines, IA.

He graduated in 1971 from Aitkin High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota. He taught earth science briefly and then worked in the construction business with his father. For the last ten years, he was employed by the Hudson Wisconsin Post Office, a job he truly loved.

He is survived by his daughters, Amy (Jason) Castillo and Jenny Withrow; grandchildren: Grace, Glorie, Gaylan III, and Antonio Pegel, Valentino Castillo and Evan Mulville; mother, Thea Geidans; siblings: Sigrida “Sigi” (Rob) Nixon, Ilga (Paul) Janouskovec, Ingrid DeVries, Karl Geidans, Hans Geidans, Margaret (Bob) Michaels, and Kathy (Brian) Dow; and Joan Heezen. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca; his father, Evalds Geidans; and grandson, Andrew Mulville.

A visitation for Pete will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, followed by a Memorial Service and time for sharing held at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
