Phil Stewart

Phil Stewart, age 86 of Hudson, WI, formerly of Glenwood City, New Richmond, River Falls, died Sunday, May 23rd at the Kinnic Health and Rehab in River Falls. Phil was born on October 5, 1934 in Belmond, Iowa, the son of Kemett and Mollie (Wear) Stewart. He was married to JoAnne Dierks, to which children Kenton, Monty, and Hal were born. This union would later dissolve. He later married Judy Christensen. Phil began a long and rewarding career of barbering in 1966. He enjoyed the social aspect of meeting and visiting with his cliental. If you knew Phil, you were aware of his love of reading and history. He enjoyed hunting as a young man and later developed a love of gardening.

Phil was preceded in death by parents, Kemett and Mollie Stewart; and brothers, Daryl Stewart and Maurice Stewart. He is survived by his children, Kenton (Susie) Stewart, Monty Stewart (Cecilia Valenzuela), and Hal (Amy) Stewart; brothers, Ronald (Sharon) Stewart and Marlin (Suzanne) Stewart; sister, Rosalie (Ernie) Harper; grandchildren:  Aaron Stewart, Kayla Stewart, Andrew Stewart, Talaina Ellis and Gavin Stewart; great-grandchildren, Ethan Kulisek, Grayson Rhode and Lilly Stewart; lifelong best friends, Jerry Frey and LeRoy Kusilek; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life for Phil will be from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Monday, June 21st at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 110 N. Third Street, River Falls, WI 54022.
