Phyllis Angeline Thomas

Phyllis Angeline Thomas, age 84, of Beldenville, WI went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2018. Phyllis was born July 2, 1933 to Elmer and Grace (Marker) Nelson in Beldenville, WI. She married Delbert Helmueller in 1951 and had four sons. She often said that her greatest achievement in life was her four sons. In 1983 Phyllis married Robert Thomas, Sr. When she was not operating her rental business, she utilized her gift of entertaining by organizing and operating country music tours to Branson, MO and putting on Norwegian comedy skits for family gatherings.
Phyllis enjoyed quilting and Brazilian embroidery projects that she often gave as gifts to family and friends. Her favorite pastime was sitting on her back patio to enjoy her beautiful flower garden and frequent bird visitors.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Grace Nelson; both her husbands, Delbert Helmueller and Robert Thomas, Sr.; brother, Kenneth Nelson and sister, Millie Christopherson.
Phyllis is lovingly survived by her sons, Kevin Helmueller, Barry (Toni) Helmueller, Shawn D. Helmueller, Jay (Michelle) Helmueller; step-children, Charlene Thompson, Denise (Patrick) Heidersheid, Robert (Rachel) Thomas, Jr.; seventeen grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Naomi) Nelson; and many who have called her their friend.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at CrossRoad Community Church, W7562 US Highway 10, Ellsworth, WI, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service, at the church. Interment will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Ellsworth, WI.
