Richard Donald Frey

Richard Donald Frey, age 87, of Prescott, WI passed away March 31, 2015 at The Lutheran Home in River Falls, WI. He was born on August 15, 1927 in River Falls to Eugene and Ida (Thompson) Frey. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. On April 7, 1951 Richard was united in marriage to Dorothy Mae Schommer. He spent most of his life working for 3M as a supervisor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; sister, Mary Aadalen; brothers, Bob & Paul.

Richard is survived by his children, Susan (Chuck) Henning of River Falls, WI, Dan (Mary) Frey of Baldwin, WI, Sandra (Grant) Hughes of Palmdale, CA, John (Kathy) Frey of Erie, PA, Melissa (Chris) Crombar of Bloomington, IN; nine grandchildren, Margaret, Matt, Breanne, Ben, Joseph, Mary Elizabeth, JohnPaul, Garrett and Anna; one great-grandson, Wil; one sister, Nancy Lytle of River Falls . He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Carol Mercord and brothers-in-law, Ralph, Gene and Lee Schommer; also many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, April 6 at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home in River Falls and one hour prior to Mass at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Prescott.
