Robert "Bob" McKenna

Bob McKenna, 90, of Hudson, WI, formerly of Sioux City, IA, passed away peacefully with family by his side at Comfort of Homes Assisted Living facility in Hudson, Wi on December 17, 2025. Bob was born on July 19, 1935, in Sioux City, IA to Merle and Annette (Thibodeau) McKenna. Bob spent 5 years in the Iowa Air National Guard and retired from Iowa Public Service (MidAmerican Energy) after 31 years of faithful service. Bob loved doing family things from “The Harbor Club days” in Sioux City, IA, to owning and flying different airplanes, to his early retirement days in Desert Hot Springs, CA. Bob was an avid sprint car racing fan and recruited many of his best friends on day trips to the races. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Bob is survived by his children, Stew (Nadine), Steve (Nancy), Scott (Laurie), Shawn (Phil) Stencel and Keith (Pam); grandchildren, Geri, Angela, Jacob, and Robert; and great-granddaughter McKenna. He is preceded in death by his wife Marge (Ludwig), parents, and sister Barbara (Hedges). Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in the summer/fall of 2026.
