Robert James ‘Bob’ Krear

Robert James Krear, age 65 of New Richmond WI, died on Monday, March 13, 2017 at his home and surrounded by family. Bob was born December 31, 1951 in River Falls WI to parents  Lamoine G. and Bernice K. (Betlach) Krear. Bob attended school in River Falls, and graduated from River Falls High School with the Class of 1969. On July 25, 1970, Bob was united in marriage to Diane Edgar. Their union in marriage would be blessed with two daughters, three grandchildren, and over 46 years of love and devotion.

Bob worked for over 28 years as an Iron Worker with the Local 512. Outside of work, Bob enjoyed all kinds of hobbies, including cooking, vegetable gardening, and especially camping, fishing, and hunting. Bob was an all-around handyman who could fix about anything, and a welder who could plan and build even more things. Bob loved to play pool, even up until recently, and will be missed by many buddies from his local pool league. Bob loved to ride his Harley. Together with Diane, they have traveled two-lane highways through each of the lower 48 states, as well as Alaska and Canada. Bob will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diane; daughters, Janet Krear and Carie (Brad) Sommer; grandchildren, Dalton, Logan, and Morgan; his mother, Bernice Krear; siblings, Sherry (Peter) Reis, James(Kam) Krear, and Susie (Bill) Swenson; siblings-in-law, Judy Edgar, Donna (Bill) Crain, Bonnie (Robert) Fischer, and Barb (Rick) Pechacek; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lamoine Krear; parents-in-law, Raymond (Delores) Edgar; and brother-in-law, Jerry Edgar.

Visitation for Robert J. Krear will begin at 2:00pm, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00pm, on Thursday, March 16th at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, 211 E. Division Street in River Falls WI, with Rev. Fr. Jerry Harris officiating. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin WI. 715-684-3434
