Robert L. ‘Bob’ Richmond

Robert L. “Bob” Richmond, age 61 of Hudson WI, died on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. Bob was born February 12, 1951 in Kingsport TN to parents David and Eva (Fugate) Richmond. Bob graduated from high school in Maryland, and attended the University of Maryland, where he earned his degree in Information Technology. Bob was united in marriage to his wife Holly on June 30, 2000 in Lake Tahoe CA.

Bob worked for more than 20 years as an I.T. Manager at the U.S. Postal Service Eagan MN facility. Outside of work, Bob enjoyed spending time with his wife, Holly. Bob also loved dogs, and enjoyed raising his German Shepherds. Bob was well respected among his peers, and those who knew him, also knew his funny side, and good sense of humor. He will be missed by his family, and many friends and co-workers.

Bob is survived by his wife, Holly; his sons Joseph (Amanda) Richmond of Austrailia, and Matthew Richmond of Eden Prairie MN; grandchildren, Tallulah, Jasper, Ashby, and Caleb; his brother Tony (Beth) Richmond, and his beloved German Shepherd Maxamillian. He was preceded in death by his parents; and beloved dogs Oscar and Schatze.

A private service followed by burial at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery will take place at a later date. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson WI. 715-386-3725.
