Roger Norelius

Roger Carl Norelius, age 78, of North Hudson, WI, passed away on June 5, 2014 at the Christian Community Home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Roger was born on December 7, 1935 in St. Paul, MN to Carl E. and Margaret L. (Nebel) Norelius.

On June 2, 1956, he was united in marriage to Mabel Deal, a marriage that would be blessed with 3 sons: Roger, Michael, and Rick. Their marriage would later dissolve in 1978. On July 11, 1992, he married Linda Ann Hudson in Clam Falls, WI.

For most of his life, Roger was a mechanic for Northwest Airlines. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, golfing, working on computers, cooking, and spending time with his grand puppy, Kirby.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons: Roger (Tammy), Michael (Amy), and Rick (Penny); granddaughters, Jennifer (Darek) Taylor and Jodell (Randy) Johnson; grandson, James Norelius; great-granddaughter, Ivy Yarrington; great-grandsons: Jacob, Darek Jr., Nicolas, & Benjamin Taylor, and Tyler, Conner, & Hunter Johnson; step-granddaughter, Ashley Belisle; siblings, Kay (Wayne) Weigang, and Allen (Peggie) Norelius; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jessica Norelius; and step-daughter, Cheryl Belisle.

A time to reflect on Roger’s life will be from 2-5PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Interment will be private. Full military honors will be provided by the Hudson VFW and American Legion.
