Ronald Dale Pittman, age 75 of Hudson died May 24, 2021 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
Ron was born on February 11, 1946 in Dunn County, Wisconsin; the son of Maynard and Velma Mae (Stuart) Pittman. He attended Hillson Elementary School prior to graduating from Boyceville High School. On September 14, 1968, he was united in marriage to Deborah Goodell at Trinity Lutheran in Boyceville. Many will remember and appreciate his steadfast dedicated work as a drywaller. He owned and operated his own company for over 50 years!! Over the years he not only created many recurring customers, but friendships too.
Ron enjoyed the outdoors. As a young man, he took great pleasure in riding horse and looking after his horses. He was a member of the St. Croix Riders Saddle Club. As time went on, he and Deb fell in love with miniature horses. Today, they continue to raise miniature horses and, in the past, showed them at state fairs and even the Oklahoma Nationals where they placed very well! He was proud of his Ford trucks and enjoyed keeping his yard pristine. Earlier in life, he enjoyed coon hunting with his dogs. More recently, he looked forward to cheering on the green and gold as a devoted Green Bay Packer fan. He also had great feelings for his dog Princess, a miniature poodle.
Ron is survived by his wife, Deborah; children, Angie (Adam) VanRanst of Baldwin, Joe (Malissa Kubarek) Pittman of Baldwin; daughter-in-law, Roxy Rose of Clayton; grandchildren, Josh, Zach, Lexi, Sawyer, Alli, Cherokee, and Shiann; sister-in-law, Judy Pittman of Roberts. He is preceded in death by his son Ricky; infant daughter, Amy; his parents; and brother, Don Pittman.
A Celebration of life is being planned by his family. Funeral and cremation services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
