Ronald Gordon Raymond

Ronald Gordon Raymond, age 90, of Hudson, passed away on August 2, 2026.

Ron was born on July 19, 1936, in Lorraine, Ohio, to Gordon and Evelyn Raymond. Just recently, he celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and close friends—a cherished gathering that brought him great joy.

Ron found happiness in the outdoors and had a deep appreciation for nature. He enjoyed photography, capturing the beauty of the world around him, and expressed his creativity through woodworking. He also loved traveling and exploring, especially hiking through state parks.

Ron dedicated 30 years of his career to Honeywell, where he worked as an avionics engineer. Retirement did not slow him down. Instead, he became deeply involved in his community, proudly serving on the Hudson Town Council and the St. Croix County Board. He was instrumental in establishing Homestead Parklands as a St. Croix County Park. As a member of the Roberts Lions Club, Ron embraced the spirit of giving back and was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie; and his brother, Gordon.

He will be greatly missed by his sons, Ronald (Kathy) and Bill (Charlene); his grandchildren, Luke, Ben, Marcus (Melissa), Olivia (Codie), Dodd, Laura, and Gabrielle; his brother, Richard; his sisters, Evelyn and Diane (Tom) Stolcals; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
