Rose Mary Coleman

Rose Mary Coleman, age 74, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the Baldwin Area Medical Center after a battle with cancer.

She was born April 2, 1937 in Eau Galle, Wisconsin to Lloyd and Catherine (Fedie) Webb.

Rose married Wayne Britton January 2, 1956 at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Eau Galle, WI. They lived and farmed in Spring Lake Township on the Britton home farm where she raised her family of 6 children. She worked at Micom Corporation, New Brighton, MN. until her retirement in 2002.

Wayne and Rose divorced in 1972. Wayne died November 20, 1990. Rose moved to St. Paul and later married Joseph Coleman April 5, 1975. They resided there and later divorced. Joseph died March 1981.

In 1977 Rose moved to Spring Valley, WI. where she bought a country home and proceeded with improvements on the house. She enjoyed traveling, trading cars and reading. She also loved being outdoors and mowing the grass. Family was a very important aspect of her life. Her stubborn attitude was the delight of many who knew her.

Rose is survived by 3 daughters and 3 sons: Becky Roatch of Downing, WI.; Dan (Corinne) Britton of Spring Valley, WI.; Marcia (Myron) Anderson of Downing, WI.; Barry (Patti) Britton of Spring Valley, WI.; Morris (Cindy) Britton of Woodville, WI.; and Nancy Britton (Jerry Forrest) of Woodville, WI.; 6 step children; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Victoria Bernardine (Larry) Bechel, Beverly Fuhrman, and Rita Hoffman; 1 brother, Francis Webb; 1 sister-in-law, Mary Webb; 1 brother-in-law, Leonard (Darlene) Britton; 3 step brothers and sisters: John Buhlman, Rose (Glen) Gibson, and Bethley (John) Zakrzewski.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Leo Buhlman; 2 brothers: Tom Webb and Joe Webb; 1 step child, Dan Coleman; 1 grandchild, Amissa Roatch, 1 great grandchild, Hailey Mooney.

Memorial visitation was held on Friday, July 8, 2011 from 3-6 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley. A memorial service followed at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Erin Nelson officiating.

Honorary bearers were Kenny Britton, Terry Britton, Toby Roatch, Tom Mooney, Mike Hecky, Corey Britton, Nate Zignego, and Nicole Montgomery.
