Rudolf Smirnov

Rudolf Smirnov, 92, of Ellsworth, Wisconsin passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Red Wing, Minnesota.
Rudy was born May 9, 1924 in Romania, Austria to Nicoluas and Josefa (Zeder) Smirnov. He married Anna Grabendorfer on April 23, 1946 in Ingolstadt, Germany and worked as a Master Cabinet Maker. Rudy and Anna, along with several family members moved to the United States in 1952.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Anna Smirnov; grandson, Ben Smirnov; grand-daughters, Candella (Matt) Jarocki and Lacy Smirnov; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Rudolf Joseph Smirnov; four brothers and 3 sisters, and one great-grandchild.

A Funeral Service for Rudy will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Hill Funeral Home in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. A Visitation for Rudy will be one hour prior to service.
Burial will be at Trimbelle Cemetery in Ellsworth, Wisconsin.
