It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ruth Lydia Beer on April 3, 2026, at the age of 102. Ruth was born on July 17, 1923, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to parents William and Lydia (Schmidt) Westhoff. She married Allan Beer on September 21, 1946.
Ruth leaves behind her children: Barbara Nelson, Jane Ross, Janet (Tom) Anderson, Mary Beer (David Herbert), and daughter-in-law Pam Beer. Her legacy will forever be remembered through stories passed down to her 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Beer; son, Tom Beer; parents, William and Lydia Westhoff; son-in-law, Roland Nelson; along with her 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Honoring her wishes, there will be no service or celebration.
