Ruth E. Nelson

Ruth E. Nelson, age 72, of Dunn County passed away on May 28, 2016 after a short battle with cancer.

Ruth was born July 14, 1943, in Shawano County, to Clarence & Evelyn Nueske. Ruth was united in Marriage on May 1, 1964 to Robert P. Nelson in Shawano County. Ruth enjoyed life, family and friends, but above all Ruth loved serving the Lord.

Ruth is survived by: her beloved husband, Robert P. Nelson; her son, Paul R. Nelson; her daughter, Sheila R. Mealey, daughter-in-law, Janis Nelson; her grandchildren, Jessica R. (Damion) Krisher, Jordon P. Nelson, Bo R. (Julie) Nelson, Bransen J. Nelson, Rayah R. Nelson; four great grandchildren, Deysi, Kale, Briar and Sloan Krisher; three siblings Elmer (Eleanor) Nueske, Marian Hoekstra, Bill (Sylvia) Nueske, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn Nueske and brother in-law Frank Hoekstra.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at the O’Connell Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin from 4 – 8pm. There will also be a visitation at the Baumann Farm on Saturday 12 – 2pm. Funeral services will be held at the Baumann Farm, N3040 – 440th St. Menomonie, WI at 2pm on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg, WI on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 11am for the family. Pallbearers assisting with the services will be: Jordan Nelson, Bo Nelson, Bransen Nelson, Mike Connelly, Craig Connelly, Chad Connelly, and Micah Connelly.
